NGO capacity development
|
| Intercooperation pursues project implementation through partnerships with NGOs instead of direct delivery. This demands a high degree of capacity building support to the NGOs for ensuring effective services, and to ensure access to resources by the disadvantaged and vulnerable segments of the rural communities, towards sustainable development. Intercooperation provides support to its partners in the areas of self-help approach, participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation, coordination, collaboration, and useful technical assistance for horticulture, market promotion and business development services, etc. Intercooperation has supported more than 35 NGOs in Bangladesh since its inception. |

Besides training, strategic advice and coaching, Intercooperation facilitates mutual exchange between the NGOs at country-level and abroad, thus exploiting the advantage of the presence of Intercooperation in many relevant countries, as well as its relationship with numerous development partners. Intercooperation also provides technical support and backstopping to the NGOs in developing their long term strategic plan, human and resource development and management plan, documentation system, adequately maintaining the necessary organisation tools and instrument, involving management or executive committees in strategic decisions of the organisation.
